Belgian Pavilion

In 2013 me and freelancer business partner Marie were invited by a delegation of Maasmechelen Village, the designer outlet shopping centre, for drinks and a proposal. The drinks? Refreshing! The proposal? Interesting! We were asked to take on the operations of their one-time Belgian designer shop, curated by the incredible Didier Vervaeren and with Axelle Red as ambassador, called Belgian Pavilion. We said yes!

The pop-up store was all about Belgian fashion talents such as Veronique Leroy, Christian Wijnants, Filles à Papa, Elvis Pompilio, Marc Philippe Coudeyre, Tim Vansteenberghe, … Me and Marie, then still operating under the name of DSGNRMRKT, took on the complete organization of the shop: orders, packing lists, tagging, sales, administration, …

Loved to be part of a story that was and still is very dear to me: the promotion of homegrown talent. I still have one of the beautiful designed banners in my home office to remind me of those days!
